Shillong

Elephant Falls
Elephant Falls is a famous multi-tiered waterfall located near Shillong, Meghalaya. It is named after an elephant-shaped rock that was once present near the falls (which was destroyed in an earthquake). The waterfall is divided into three distinct sections that cascade down over fern-covered rocks, each visible from different viewing points connected by paths and stairs. Surrounded by lush greenery, the falls are easily accessible and make for a popular tourist spot for both locals and visitors.
